Dec 16 2006 Two Pianos : In December 2006 Miharu Ensemble sponsored a concert by Matsumoto and Sakuma at Mahora. The concert was a piano duet with two Steinway Concert Pianos. Sold Out! And we had a lovely pre-concert Social Hour Christmas Party with cash bar and a mini-concert by Miharu Ensemble String Quartet. Quite fun!

Danjuro Ishizaka : Danjuro Ishizaka and his beautiful wife Zena (Xena?) visited Miharu twice. This last time (2006) he brought his mother and father from Germany, too. He is a gifted celloist from Germany, half Japanese. Miharu Ensemble hosted a welcome party for him after his Mahora Debut in 2004. We were invited to the party for him when he returned in 2006. He plays a Stradavarius cello that sounds like angels singing. Is it the cello or his playing, I wonder? Just kidding, Dani!

2004 Sookai and Party : May of 2004 we had our FIRST Annual Dance Party and Member Appreciation Night at Miharu Garden Farm. It was great FUN and a success - the first time MOST of these people had ever danced to live music. Music by Mr. Nitta's Band - "Stepping Stones"

Mahora Concert Hall : Mahora is the concert hall in Miharu. Opened in 2002. It is a world class concert hall in its class. It has 404 seats with amazing accoustics! You can literally here a pin drop on the stage in the back seat of the hall! Performances need NO microphones - even a stage whisper is clear as a bell! Of course the town is losing 100,000's of dollars a year keeping it running! But it's wonderful to hear LIVE MUSIC again!
