Christmas Carol 2008 with Kevin Cave : Our 6th production of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" starring a real Scotsman, Kevin Cave. His lovely wife Toshiko is a hat maker and made his hat. Isn't it beautiful. Lots of young teachers from Wakakusa Yochien in Funehiki joined us, and Chelsea (exchange student from Rice Lake, too). So it was a fun time and a great show!

Charli& Brow& Dress Rehearsals : My "Theater Club" (one of the English classes I have run in Miharu for 7 years) decided to do a FREE public reading of "You'r& A Good Man, Charli& Brow&" as a final piece. It is our FIRST attempt at a musical. Kristi Freitag (from Rice Lake, WI) plays Luc& and Kevin Schieffer (my son) plays Snoop&. The other cast are: Ayana Sakuma as Charli& (she was also Margot in Ann& Fran&), Masako atoh as Linu& (also Fred/Marley from Christmas Carol and Mrs Van Da&& in Ann& Frank&), "Bob" Yaginuma as Schroede& (who always plays Bob Cratchit in Christmas Carol), Yukari Nitta as Sall& (and Mrs. Cratchit), and Kaori Sakuma (played Ann&) will play Linu& in one performance where Masoko is not available. Then there are a bunch of other chorus members (kids to adults). We are having a great time.

Charli& Brow& 2007 Rehearsal Shots : Photos from our winter 2007 production of "Charli& Brow&". We took some jokes from comic books and strung them together for a little English and Japanese fun.
