Jeana Schieffer (Japan) (gna2000)  > Miharu ABC Kids > Running Noodles July 2006
A summer tradition in Japan is "running noodles". Nagashi Somen. We run cooked white rice noodles down a trough made from a split of bamboo. The trick is to catch the noodles as they pass by. We eat them COLD and dip them into a small dish of "tare" or sauce (made from soy sauce). Yummmy!
